Cyclone 2+, A Brand New App Experience
Cyclone is a cross-chain, yield enhancement, and zkSNARKs-based privacy protocol that has been enhanced incrementally since day one. Today, we are excited to announce our largest upgrade yet: Cyclone 2+.
A brand new experience for anonymity and liquidity providers
Cyclone 2+ the complete redesign and implementation of the app (https://cyclone.xyz). With a sleek new design, the Cyclone app has been re-organized with a fresh, spacious interface to provide users with a streamlined user experience. All anonymity pools are now displayed in one single view with their respective APY and TVL, which allows users to easily compare different pools and select the ones they would like to join. Participating in Cyclone anonymity pools will now be intuitive and enjoyable for both new and existing users!
This new Cyclone app paves the way for
- Launching the protocol on more blockchains such as Ethereum — As of now, this is the first privacy-centric app that supports both IoTeX chain and BSC chain in one unified interface;
- Supporting more pools in the coming months without compromise the ease of use. Some pools will be “classic” as robot pools we have now; some will be “aggressive” to support yield-enhancing strategies while preserving anonymity.
The technology
The new Cyclone app is built based on nextjs, an advanced and modern React framework. This provides easy scaling and allows for much faster content delivery to your browser. This nextjs framework currently powers the front-end technology for Uniswap, Binance, and now Cyclone! Unifying IoTeX and Binance Smart Chain in a single interface is complex and has never been done within a single app, until now! Cyclone will be the first app that supports both chains in one interface — a first-of-its-kind interface for a first-of-its-kind app!
Note management section
Also included in the new interface is a “Notes” section for users to view and manage their notes easily in a single list. Always make sure to backup your notes in a safe place just like your private keys — your notes are required to re-access your deposited tokens! With Cyclone, your notes will be stored locally in your browser’s local storage for convenience, but may disappear if your browser is updated or you decide to clear your browser history.
What’s next?
Cyclone made history as the first cross-chain, privacy-enabling, and transaction-obfuscating protocol for IoTeX and Binance Smart Chain. With a flexible new front-end framework for Cyclone 2+, we will pursue bringing Cyclone to other top blockchains, starting with Ethereum!
